2017 to Present - Arc Publishing, The Washington Post
I am a product manager on the Arc Publishing team within The Washington Post and oversee 5 product verticals / teams / roadmaps. Arc Publishing is a Publishing CMS built in-house at the Post and is now being used by The Washington Post, and newsrooms across the globe including (but not limited to) the LA Times, The Globe and Mail, NZME, Chicago Tribune, and Infobae.
I currently oversee the Arc Mobile App that we sell to publishers across the globe. I lead iOS and Android versions of this out-of-the-box app.
I also oversee “Feature Pack” which creates the out-of-the-box websites we offer as part of the Arc Publishing suite. Similar to Squarespace, but for the publishing industry.
The other products I oversee are our AI engine, Clavis; our Core Services UI; and the main dashboard for the CMS, “Arc Home”.
Before focusing on the business (publishers) as my persona, I spent my first 9 months at The Post working to build a technical product offering for our client developers and internal engineering teams. The developer persona was my main focus in a technical product role. I took our API suite and turned it into a technical product offering, allowing developers to build on top of our CMS. The following are a few of my responsibilities:
+Lead five product roadmaps, scrums, and engineering teams for Arc Publishing
+Product manager for core / platform services -- the API suite of products.
+Product manager for Meridian and Trident both of which provide automation, user roles and permissions across the CMS platform.
+Manage roadmaps, backlogs, documentation, product awareness and education, product direction and vision
